Wiesenfeuer Yule Celebration

Their Excellencies of Wiesenfeuer invite you to celebrate Yule with a day filled with activities, camaraderie, merriment, and a sumptuous potluck feast. Succulent meats will be provided for all by the barony.

We have a full schedule of games, activities, and surprises, so mark your calendar and join us for a memorable holiday revel!

From among our young gentles we will find our new:  Bardic Youth, and Arts and Sciences ChampionsPrepare now to compete in the event and note-card style documentation is required. There are no age divisions.  We will also be selecting our adult Arts & Sciences Champion this day as well. There will be no theme this year. Anything goes! Minimal documentation is required but we would love to see your documentation if it is longer.

Service animals only. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. They may also attend 
with a 21 year or older adult with a signed and notarized Minor Event Waiver Form from the parents. There is no smoking inside the building, please. Site is dry until 7pm.

Make your best way to I-35 in North OKC. Just after John Kilpatrick Turnpike, exit for Memorial Road and head West on Memorial until you reach May Ave (8.9 miles). Turn right and continue North on May Ave. The site will be on the right just before you reach NW 149th.

9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Registration/Gate Open

9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Arts & Sciences Competition (Youth & Adult) Drop-Off; Silent Auction Drop-Off

10:00 a.m. Morning Court

10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Youth Activities, ages 5-11

10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Yule Shopping Center and Bake Sale Open

11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Silent Auction

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Choir Practice in the Sanctuary

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Sideboard Luncheon

2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. DIY Yule Gift Mini-A&S Workshops (Make a gift, give it to someone, keep it for yourself, or donate it as largesse. Your choice!) Youth & Adults. This is a Come-and-Go activity, so drop in and learn a new skill!

2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Youth Bardic Competition in the Sanctuary

3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Visit Father Christmas in his Workshop

3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Court Dance Class in the Sanctuary

5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Evening Court

7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Potluck Feast with Special Performances

Several Performing Arts activities are scheduled in the Sanctuary during the day. We encourage you to participate or to make use of seating to the rear for relaxation and observation. We ask that you keep voices low during class and competitions, however, as a courtesy to participants, competitors, and instructors.

The annual Yule celebration is a wonderful day to spend time with family and friends. Please keep in mind that SCA parents are responsible for their children at events. Family-friendly activities are available throughout the day. The weather forecast looks lovely and should allow for outdoor play. We will also have a quiet room available.

If you're feeling mildly competitive, we will have an assortment of medieval board games available for play in the feast hall throughout the day. Challenge your friends, or even better- challenge a stranger and make a new friend!
