Youth Activities

We are planing to do a largess making class and are looking for wood or glass beads for the children to string. Please no pony beads. We are getting ready for Medieval Faire where we will have MoC activities and display set up! Come help, even for an hour, if you can.

We also have Baronial coming up! Come out and join in the fun activities! We will be doing egg dying with natural materials (dye-able plastic eggs so no spoiling!), marbled prints, seed bombs, and of course our championships for chivalric, drumming, and dancing!

Sundays in the Park with the Minister of Children

When: 4th Sunday of the Month
Time: 2-3:30 pm in April, May, September, October and 7-8:30 pm in June - August
Location: South Lakes Park (SW 119th and Meridian

This is a gathering with the children of Barony that is held once a month where they will play period board games and learn crafts under the guidance of our Minister of Children. This allows the kids some time to come together outside of events. If you have a skill or idea of something to teach the children (any age) please get in touch with me. I would love to be able to have people come in and work with older kids as well. I am looking to fill up this years calendar and love guest teachers!

For April MoC Sunday in the Park we will be doing finger knitting and for those that have a difficult time or want to try a little different approach (or need to be able to easily put it down!) we will also be making finger knitting looms.

Our past MoC Liadan has written a book to help aspiring MoC's and SCA parents keep children entertained during events. It is located in the file section at the bottom of the page.

For more information, please contact our Minister of Children. Contact information can be found on our officer's page

Thank you to HL Ivo Blackhawk for the book girdles demo!
